Today, I was finalizing the set-up of my upcoming executive meeting at this hotel. I typed up an email for my contact there at the hotel, which detailed my breakfast and lunch selections as well as any special accommodations I will need for the meeting. Twenty minutes after sending out my email, I re-read what I sent her and to my horror, discovered two glaring grammatical errors. Typos, is what they are, but would my contact think they are? Anyway, here’s what I wrote:
Item 5: The break-out rooms should be set up for an panel interview.
Item 8: Lastly, can you tell me the cost to rent a inkjet printer?
My contact probably thinks I don’t know my grammar, specifically the use of ‘articles.’ Another reminder to myself why spell-check is important.
